      • SCIENCE PARTIES

Whether a birthday party or an event or any special occasion, we will give your young scientists a fabulous and exciting time. Our experiments are age-appropriate tasks designed to excite, entertain and educate children aged five to 11. Some of them result in goodies to take home too.

      • Three reasons to choose our parties:

        • They are different, inclusive and original – together, your children and us will create special memories with hands-on experiments. Everybody will participate.
        • They are child-centric, safe and fun and you don’t have to do a thing: we provide material and equipment YOU focus on the catering and decorations, WE focus on keeping your kids happy and entertained
        • They are a natural extension of what they learn in class; education made fun!
        • These parties are affordable and can take place at home as well as at a hired venue. See comprehensive price list at the bottom of this page.

        So, what’s on offer?

      • The Favourites

Here are the most popular experiments. Choose two or tree of the following options, guaranteed to please even the most demanding young scientists.

        SLIME

Parents may have mixed feelings about this polymer feast, but kids just ADORE it. They will make it, choose its colour and take it home. Rejoice, parents, rejoice!

Please, note, some party and event venues have banned slime. If not sure, check with the venue before booking this experiment.

        SOAPS

Who wants to take home small super heroes that kill germs? YOU? Children will learn all about this powerful combination of fatty acids and alkalis and choose their shape, colour and scent.

        BALLOON RACE

Let’s investigate the strange case of the balloons that inflate themselves. They can! Don’t you believe it? GOOD! We are going to prove it to you and when we have, we will let the balloons go and watch as they whizz around the room.

        INSTANT SNOW

Let’s conjure up snow from nowhere and let’s find out what turns powder in fluffy snow – like flakes. Here’s another popular project to take home!

        WIZARD´S/WITCHES’ BREW

What happens when (weak) acids meet alkalis? Crazy, noisy, foamy, colourful things happen! This is an oober popular experiment guaranteed to make a lasting impression.

        LAVA LAMPS

Another popular experiment packed with ‘WOW.’ We cannot take credit for it though, it’s all down to density with a little help from carbon dioxide. The birthday child will take home all the lava lamps we make together.

        HEAT & FOAM FOUNTAIN

        (AKA ELEPHANT TOOTHPASTE)

No toothpaste, in fact this chemical reaction is so powerful (and smelly) that it spews out heat. Oh, the wonders of hydrogen peroxide catalysis! Fear not, adults, fun it may be, but this experiment is also safe for your children!

        DRY ICE

Simply sublime and simply sublimation. This is an experiment that never fails to excite and enthuse our young scientists with its fog, smoke, large and small bubbles and the inevitable pleads: “Can I touch this ice, please?” (NO!!)

Please, note that this experiment entails a £55 to £68 extra charge for the dry ice.

Please, note, some party and event venues request previous notice of this experiment.

        UNDER WATER FIRE

        (OUTDOORS ONLY)

Light a fire that will go on under water and unleash a gale of excited shrieks with this experiments that require outdoors space.

THE STRANGE CASE OF THE BARKING DOG

We teach kids about the Triangle of Fire—heat, fuel, and oxygen—through a thrilling, safe, controlled explosion in a conical flask. The demonstration creates a loud ‘woof!’ sound, showing how these three elements work together to produce fire. It’s an exciting, hands-on way to learn about combustion!

Please note, this experiment will be a demo carried out by the tutor. The birthday child may stand next to the tutor, if they so wish.

        RedOx TRAFFIC LIGHT

Get ready for the Traffic Light Experiment! This RedOx reaction uses potassium permanganate and sugar, creating a stunning display of colors. Watch as the reaction produces vibrant purple, green and oranges... just like a traffic light! It's a colorful way to explore chemical reactions!

        COLOUR CHANING POTION

Get ready for a colorful chemistry adventure with the Potassium Permanganate RedOx Reaction! Watch as a purple potassium permanganate solution meets lemon juice, sparking a magical color change. It’s all thanks to oxidation and reduction—the movement of electrons—creating a mesmerizing display that shows chemistry in action!

        EXTRAS:

        • TRANSPORTATION: We charge £10 for travel to Zones 3-6.
        • DISPOSABLE LAB COATS (TO TAKE HOME): We provide goggles and safety gloves and all the material necessary to conduct the experiments safely. We can provide disposable lab coats for an extra £2 per coat.

        TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Thank you for choosing our services! We know how important a birthday party is to children. We will give 100% of our creativity and professionalism to help you make it a very special occasion. In order to prepare for the birthday party, we ask for:

        • A £100 deposit to confirm the booking
        • Your choice of experiments no later than one week before the party
        • The final number of attendees confirmed no later than the Monday before the party (no mean feat, we know!) – we know it’s a tall order but we need more than one tutor for parties with more than 15 attendees
        • The bill for the difference to be settled by the day before the party
        • We always do our utmost to engage your young scientists. Please, note, however, that parties involving very young children may result in some of them getting distracted or in abandoning the experiment. We will encourage them to come back but we won't insist. We will of course complete the experiments with those who stay.
        • Adults; you are welcome to join us, if you wish!
        • Any special request? That’s what we are here for. Let’s talk about it as soon as possible. Don’t be shy, we’ll do our utmost to accommodate you.
